One of the biggest new trends to prowl the spring 2016 runways is actually not new at all. But animal prints, those beloved closet staples that are just as classic as a red lip, have gotten a modern-day makeover thanks to designers at Givenchy and Edun. Leopard and jaguar spots were reimagined in vibrant greens, reds, and yellows at Versace's show, while Roberto Cavalli amped up off-the-shoulder blouses and dresses with abstract versions of the print this season.
Granted, while animal spots are certainly fun, they also run the risk of looking cheesy. To avoid this fate, opt for a more subtle interpretation, like a jacquard cami by RTA (slide 5) or a pair of high-top Vans with minimal leopard trim (slide 3). If you're looking for something a little more bold, try pairing brightly spotted trousers from Mango (10) with a denim blouse, or a green leopard shirtdress from Topshop (slide 1) with lace-up flats.
