Here is Phoebe Philo's fall 2016 collection for Céline, which was rumored for a hot second to be the designer's last. In early February, word was that Philo would be out of Céline after the fall show and headed not to Dior or Lanvin — which both need creative directors, stat — but to Alaïa. Céline swiftly crushed those rumors with an internal memo, leaked to WWD, asserting that the designer and the company "are more motivated and committed than ever to their partnership and will continue to create beautiful products."

Whether this is or isn't Philo's Céline swan song, she certainly delivered on "beautiful product," as always. The palette today stuck to the neutrals Philo favors but in fantastically interesting fabrics: silver-speckled black, pearlescent cream, and a glossy navy leather among them. Pops of pale blue, vibrant yellow-orange, and leaf green complimented the classics.

The silhouette was the relaxed rich person vibe Philo has been playing with for awhile now; tunics over wide-leg pants, midi dresses, sometimes a long coat on top. See all of the looks in the gallery above, including a peek at next season's handbags.
