Michael Kors is getting in on fashion's "see it now, buy it now" experiment. WWD reports that for the first time, the designer will allow shoppers to buy pieces off the runway.

Immediately following the Michael Kors show on Wednesday, a capsule collection of eight pieces from the runway will go on sale on the brand's website and in its Madison Avenue store.

Kors joins designers like Tommy Hilfiger, BurberryTom FordBanana Republic, Thakoon, and Rebecca Minkoff in bringing immediately shoppable pieces to the runway.

"My attitude is, she doesn’t pay attention to seasons anyway, so why not grab and go?" Kors told WWD. The "buy it off the runway" options include a cashmere sweater and matching skirt.

It also encompasses three bag styles, including a studded camera bag, and several shoe styles, like a studded mary jane that Kors describes as "kind of like Chessy Rayner meets Courtney Love."
