Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Kanye toes a fine line between wanting to create things for the masses and taking inspiration from an $110,000 Le Corbusier lamp. With those two things in mind, we have to wonder, is there a better design partner for Mr. West than Ikea, with its sleek, modern, and most importantly, affordable designs?

News that 'Ye was checking out the Ikea headquarters first bubbled up on forum Kanye To The, when user 040 claimed that her family member had seen him walking the premises. This claim was eventually backed by pictures and a statement from the company to Stockholm-based paper, Aftonbladet.

"I want to and can not say more than that he is in Älmhult at Ikea today," Ikea's press officer Jakob Holmström tells Aftonbladet, as translated by Google. "I think it was inspiring for him to visit us. Otherwise, he had not come."

Holmström also could not confirm or deny a collaboration, The Associated Press reports. "Time will tell," he said.

If Kanye were to design a collection for Ikea, it's safe to say we'd be faced with the same pickle he raps about on "Facts." Couches, couches, couches, couches, which one should I pick?"

Good thing one enterprising person out there has already shown us what this collab might look like.
