Brie Larson's stylist, Cristina Ehrlich, recently explained that the actress is "the one who's wearing the T-shirt with a leather jacket and a pair of Doc Martens." Of course, that's probably why she hired Ehrlick back in May. Evening gowns don't go with Docs.

Despite cutting her teeth on small indie films or supporting roles in comedies like 21 Jump Street and Trainwreck, Larson's performance in Room made her a fixture on this season's awards show circuit. In comparison to her Oscar nominated peers Jennifer Lawrence and Saoirse Ronan, however, Brie Larson is an actress whose naturally easygoing style shines the brightest.

The Verdict

Despite her natural inclination for jeans and tees, Brie incrementally stepped up her game, especially at A-list red carpet events. Strange choice in fabrics, however, made some looks seem as though they came from the mall. But all in all, each outfit seemed particularly tailored to the event she was attending, which means her Oscars look will probably top both of her incredible SAG and Golden Globes dresses.
