Belotti Ristorante E Bottega Now Open in Rockridge, Featuring Pastas for Days

Enjoy pasta to stay or cook at home.

Belotti Ristorante E Bottega, the cozy neighborhood restaurant from Michele Belotti, is now softly open, offering handmade pastas. The 40-50 seat restaurant will start out with seven pasta dishes, to accompany a small menu of starters, one salad and two heartier entrees (duck breast and flat iron steak). (Check out the menu here.)

As Eater reported in January, the restaurant is the first for Belotti, who most recently worked as chef de cuisine of Ristobar in San Francisco. He plans to showcase the cuisine of Northern Italy with delicate pastas that aren't exactly the "red sauce" type, as well as a "pasta laboratory" where diners can see the pasta as it's made. Eventually Belotti plans to add a pasta tasting menu, as well as a more robust retail component; for now diners can purchase uncooked fresh pasta to take home, with a few sauce options. The restaurant came with a full liquor license, so expect beer, wine and classic cocktails like Negronis.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. weekdays, and until 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
