What's next for The Purple Building at 340 11th Street and Western SoMa? Supervisors hope to plan out something other than night clubs, apparently, and are considering a plan, "which will allow thousands of units of new housing- most of it along Folsom Street," but that also addresses the concerns of the California Music & Culture Association which fears housing trumping nightlife establishments. New ideas include changing from housing to office space development. It's a complicated mess, as usual. [SF Bay Guardian]
