Meat Beat

If you've been to Montreal, you know that a smoke-meat sandwich, which is sort of like if corned beef and pastrami had a baby, is delicious—and impossible to find in the Bay Area. Thankfully, new pop-up Augie's Montreal Smoke Meat is addressing this issue via appearances at similarly Montreal-oriented Beauty's Bagel Shop. Their sandwiches, made by Canada native Lex Gopnik-Lewinski, are served on Wise Sons rye and come with a pickle. And if that wasn't enough of a draw, they also have poutine. [EBX]
