Hang on to your fork: nearly a year after she departed her pop-up shop at Nido, Jaynelle St. Jean of PieTisserie is back in action. The baker, known for pies like chocolate cream pretzel and Okinawan sweet potato, has snagged a small space near Lake Merritt (1605 2nd Ave.), where she'll be able to offer warm pies whole, by the slice, as mini-pies, or a la mode, with breakfast mini-pies on weekends. She's also got new recipes, like kettle corn pie with salted caramel, planned for the anticipated August opening. [EBX]
