Oakland's preferred pop-up pizzeria, Fist of Flour, is finally making the transition to a brick-and-mortar. Founder James Whitehead is taking over the former Pizza Roma space in the Laurel District, where he'll offer meatball subs, Italian cold cut subs, salads, and sodas to complement his thin-crust, wood-fired pies. The space will open in January, and Whitehead says he'll continue to do mobile events even after it launches. [East Bay Dish]
