California's infamous "glove law" is well on its way to disappearing as suddenly as it arrived to threaten bartenders and chefs with the prospect of constant disposable glove use. Now, the state Assembly Health Committee has voted unanimously to repeal the mandatory glove wording in AB 1252. Though it's just the first step in a full rollback, the odds are good that once the vote is moved to the floor of the Assembly, the misconceived law will soon be a historical footnote in the state's culinary record.
