Oakland's Kickstarter-funded Township (1545 Broadway), the "uber-local" restaurant from urban farmer Abeni Massey of City Girl Farms, is finally nearing its opening, with the 80-seat restaurant (with roof garden) expected sometime in May. Crystal Wilnos (of Plum Bar) is heading up the cocktail program, and though the spot will be dinner only, a next-door space will serve as a daytime café and urban farming supply store.
