TENDERLOINThe Halal Guys have chosen 340 O’Farrell for its first San Francisco location, to open early summer. [EaterWire]

THE CASTRO — Expanding its doughy domain in the city, Le Marais Bakery is adding a third location to its repertoire. It will be taking over the Samovar Tea Lounge space, likely by early summer, if, of course, all goes according to plan. [EaterWire]

MISSIONTawla, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, is slated to open at 206 Valencia St. with influences from Greece, Turkey, the Levant (Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel and Jordan) and Iran. Chef Joseph Magidow (Delfina) is planning a menu filled with mezzes like muhammara, and large dishes for sharing like leg of lamb and The Bon Vivants will head up the beverage program, pulling in lots of spices, herbs and flowers to reflect the flavors of the cuisine, many of which will also be low ABV. DOGPATCH — Former Hawaiian brunch pop-up 'āina has found a permanent spaceat 900 22nd St. Come this spring, 'āina will have many of the popular favorites from brunch (kahlua pork belly with spring onion puree and egg), but chef/owner Jordan Keao also wants to introduce people to more traditional, sometimes forgotten food beyond well-known Hawaiian dishes like spam musubi and loco moco. JACKSON SQUARE The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen is adding a location this Monday, February 1 at 799 Battery St. with tons of grilled cheese, plus wine and beer. Hours will be Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to start. [EaterWire]

COW HOLLOW — The Mina Test Kitchen’s next concept is The Company, an Indian-focused pop-up from chef Vikrant Bhasin with wines from sommelier Raj Parr. It opens Tuesday, March 1. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND — Temescal’s Cholita Linda is expanding to 3256 Lakeshore Ave., taking over the old The Burrito Shop space with its fish tacos, Cubano sandwiches and more. [East Bay Express]

PRESIDIO HEIGHTS — New fast casual restaurant As Quoted is set to hit 3613 Sacramento St. in mid-February with nut-, dairy-, gluten- and soy-free options like globally-inspired salads and open-faced sandwiches with gluten-free bread, smoothies, bone broth-based soups and coffee. WEST PORTALManor Coffee Shop has temporarily closed, but will reopen with new owners in mid-February. It will still have a diner vibe, though the menu will change. [Tablehopper]

DIVISADERO— Ijji, a nigiri sushi restaurant, is headed to Divisadero in the very near future. The 16-seat spot comes from the team behind Kinjo on Polk and will feature a traditional nigir menu with the addition of a few small dishes on the side. Look for an opening in the last week of January. [Tablehopper]

DIVISADERO— And, even more feastable goods will find their way to Divisadero soon, with the opening of Powder. It's vaguely described a frozen dessert shop, which includes shaved ice, and plans to open by summer (good timing). [Hoodline]

INNER SUNSET— Moo Dee's Indian Cuisine plans to take over the Curry Village space on 9th Ave., according to a sign posted on the awning. Details are few and far between on this one, but stay tuned for updates. [Hoodline]

UPTOWN OAKLANDLocoL, the healthy fast food revolution-in-the-making from chefs Daniel Patterson and Roy Choi, will open their second location right next to Patterson's Plum Bar. The duo isn't interested in sharing any details at the moment, but stay tuned for an opening in the next few months (followed by a third location in the Tenderloin). [EaterWire]

ROCKRIDGE— Belotti Ristorante E Bottega has plans to bring a bounty of handmade pasta to College Ave., including a custom pasta tasting menu. The chef, Michele Belotti, is from Italy and was most recently the chef de cuisine at SF's Ristobar. Belotti hopes to open by mid-February. [EaterWire]

HAYES VALLEY— An unnamed restaurant and brewery is coming to the bottom level of the Avalon, the newish condo building at Oak and Octavia. The project is from Jeff Handy (Oola, Local Kitchen) and will offer house-brewed beer and a menu, though no details on that yet. Handy hopes for a mid-September opening. [Hoodline]

TEMESCAL— Modu, a "Cal-Asian small plates restaurant" is opening in place of yakitori restaurant Kushido, which had been closed for renovations. The project, from the owner of nearby Blackwater Station, is headed up by chefs Albert OK and Quang Le (both from Iyasare). There are rumors of ramen on the menu; hopefully they will be confirmed when the restaurant opens early this year. [EBX]

ROCKRIDGE— Ike's Sandwiches has snagged the last open space in the new College Ave. shopping development, situated between Philz Coffee and CREAM. It'll be much like owner Ike Shehadeh's other sandwich spots, with a long menu of elaborately constructed sandwiches. Shehedeh says he plans to open in the next 90 days. [EaterWire]

BERKELEY— Babette Cafe will reopen in the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive by the end of the month. The cafe will be open to the public while the museum is open, and will not be required to pay admission to dine there. Expect an opening by January 31. [Berkeleyside]

BERKELEY — Global ramen shop Ippudo is opening a Berkeley outpost in the WeWork building at 2011 Shattuck Ave. for its famed tonkotsu-style ramen and beloved pork buns. [EaterWire]

FREMONTYalla Mediterranean is opening a Fremont location on Monday, January 25 at 38799 Paseo Padre Parkway with its Mediterranean menu of pita, salads, shawarma, falafel, Greek frozen yogurt and more. [EaterWire]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Fast casual Mediterranean food is coming to FiDi courtesy of Sababa, from the team behind Bon Marché and AQ. There will be a make-your-own pita bar with falafel, chicken shawarma and merguez, plus vegetable sides, and it should debut mid-spring. [EaterWire]

UNION SQUARE — The tech-forward Axiom Hotel is opening soon at 28 Cyril Magnin St., and inside will be Turn Cafe. There’s no chef or menu yet, but it will be a casual American menu. [SF Business Times]

OUTER RICHMOND — Pie purveyor Butter Love Bakeshop is opening mid-January at 3717 Balboa St. with savory pot pies, seasonal fruit pies, galettes, cookies, bundt cakes, Mr. Espresso coffee, scones, yeast doughnuts and more. [Inside Scoop]

CHINATOWN — Taking over the former Evergreen Cafe space is Paparikas, an Asian-fusion fast food restaurant from the owner of Munchboxx. The menu of garlic noodles, fried rice, stir fry and more will all be under $10 and available to go around mid-January.

BERKELEY — After closing this summer, Nabolom Bakery is returning with a new owner at 2708 Russell St. Julia Elliott has worked at Arizmendi and other Bay Area bakeries. No details yet on opening date. [Inside Scoop]

NORTH BEACH— Caffe Spuntino is moving into the former La Boulange space on Columbus Ave., set for a mid-January opening. The cafe is from a trio of North Beach restaurateurs, and will offer light fare for lunch (salads, sandwiches, sweet and savory pastries) and a heartier selection for dinner (pizza, pastas, lasagna). There'll also be simple breakfast and espresso starting at 7 a.m. [Hoodline]

BERNAL HEIGHTS— Barebottle Brewing Co. is bringing a brewery, taphouse and educational facility to the neighborhood in mid-March, offering a selection of their award-winning homebrew recipes. In a fun twist: other homebrewers can compete to have their recipe brewed and featured at Barebottle; and winners drink free! [EaterWire]

PENINSULA— Sent Sovi, David Kinch's OG restaurant in Saratoga, is reopening as Relish GastroLounge in mid-January. Chef Josiah Sloane is handing over the kitchen to Timothy Uttaro, who will update the classic French-Californian fare that defines the menu. [EaterWire]

DIVISADERO— Kava Lounge is finally opening on January 21st, offering its relaxing brew alongside herbal tonics, kombucha and raw food snacks. Kava is a slightly sedative herbal drink, which is why owner Alva Caple has designed a "welcoming and spiritual" interior. [Hoodline]

MISSION— Flor de Cana is bringing Latin American flavors, art and music to Valencia. The project has been in the works for years, apparently, and will finally come to fruition in May, offering healthy fare, fresh juices and coffee. [Tablehopper]

NOB HILL365 by Whole Foods Markets is applying to move into the old Lombardi’s Sports store. This would be Northern California’s first planned location of the 365 concept, which will carry grab-and-go items (rather than employ counter service) and the grocer’s more affordable 365 brand. BERKELEYBlue Bottle’s first Berkeley location will open at 2011 Shattuck Ave. in the street level retail space of the WeWork shared offices. The store will sell its full range of espresso and pour-over coffee, plus housemade pastries and cakes. [Berkeleyside]

OAKLANDB-Dama chef/owner Chikara Ono is looking to open a second location in Swan’s Marketplace in the old 9th Street Cafe space. It will be a 25-seat sushi spot with harder-to-find yet moderately-priced varieties of sushi. [East Bay Express]

OAKLAND — Former Ristobar chef Michele Belotti will be opening an eponymous restaurant and pasta shop at 5403 College Ave. in Rockridge. MISSION — Bay Area favorite Smitten Ice Cream is returning to its roots with a Mission store at 904-908 Valencia St., expected to debut next year with all-new flavors. [EaterWire]

SOMA — A third location (if you include the truck) of Bacon Bacon is coming to 737 Third St. in the old SBC Pizza space, this time with a beer and wine license. The cafe anticipates a late January opening, starting with breakfast and lunch only, with dinner to follow by the start of baseball season. [Inside Scoop]

NOPA — Candybar on Divisadero has closed its doors, to be replaced by Ju-Ni, an omakase restaurant. Details are sparse, but the name, which translates to one dozen, may indicate the number of courses to expect. [Hoodline]

BERKELEY — Two Michelin-starred Dominique Crenn will bring her chic style to Berkeley in early 2016 in the form of Antoinette, a French brasserie in the newly renovated Claremont Club & Spa. [EaterWire]

FILLMORE — Reservations-required, tasting menu-only Korean restaurant Mosu is opening later this month from chef Sung Anh (The French Laundry, Benu). The kaiseki-style menu will be about 12 to 15 courses and cost around $160. [EaterWire]

NOPA — A second Souvla location is set to hit NoPa in mid-2016, occupying the former Herbivore space. It will serve the same well-received rotisserie-focused menu as the original, but in a bigger space. [EaterWire]

NOE VALLEY — After months of pop-ups, Telmo Faria has found a home for his Portuguese restaurant Uma Casa in the former location of Incanto. It should debut early summer. [EaterWire]

EMERYVILLEShiba Ramen will open this week in Emeryville’s Public Market with just one or two ramens in limited quantity, and then build from there over the next few weeks to eventually include miso, shio, spicy tan tan mein, tori paitan, brothless, vegetable and chicken ramen as well. [EaterWire]

CHINATOWNSlurp Ramen (independent of Slurp Noodle Bar) is headed to 710 Commercial St. and is bringing tonkotsu ramen with it. It’s actively hiring, signaling an impending open. [EaterWire]

YOUNTVILLE — The flagship retail location of Michael Chiarello's NapaStyle is being reconfigured to a much more Eataly-like experience. The new space will include a full-service mozzarella bar, a wood-fired pizza bar, juice bar, custom wine blending lab and "nanobrewery," jam, salt and oil tasting bar and a café where diners can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and snacks. NAPA — Come January, The Corner is moving into The Riverfront building with a restaurant, lounge, bar and retail wine shop with 5,000 bottles focused mainly on France and Italy. [EaterWire]

MISSIONBite Me Sandwiches is expanding into 4230 18th St. with the same sandwiches offered at the Castro location, though an upstairs space will be a different business that is yet to be determined. [Hoodline]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Nepalese food stall operation Bini's Kitchen has found a permanent home at 1 Post St., and it should open in the coming week with a small menu of momos, curries, rice, chai and mango lassi. [Inside Scoop]

TENDERLOIN — Daly City Filipino tapas spot Tselogs is adding a second location at 552 Jones St., former home of Kare-Ken. More details to come. [Hoodline]

MISSION — More Filipino food is coming the city’s way in the former Kuta Bistro space. Conching's Kusina Mangan Tana should arrive this month, with more details to come. [Tablehopper]

GUERNEVILLE — Applewood restaurant at the Applewood Inn has closed, and it will reopen as a new concept that will focus on Italian and Spanish dishes like pizza, pasta, paella, osso bucco and more, with many of the ingredients coming straight from the hotel’s expanded garden. [Inside Scoop]

CASTROMasons is moving into 544 Castro St. from owner Richard Hamer, who’s also behind the upcoming Finn Town. Just like that project, details are scarce. [Hoodline]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Chef David Kurtz (Maven) is opening Homage at 88 Hardie Pl., which will (ahem) pay homage to local farmers by featuring a different farmer every two weeks. The hyper-seasonal, California cuisine will change with the farmers, but generally focus on soups, salads and sandwiches. There will also be a retail section with marmalade, pickles, freshly-milled flour and more. The restaurant will be open all day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus feature a beer and wine happy hour at night. Look out for this one come February. [Tablehopper]

UNION SQUARE — Tacos are taking over the former Sugar Cafe spot at 679 Sutter St. in the form of new taco and tequila bar Matador. Sugar Cafe owner Keith Goodman recruited chef Juan Martinez (Tres) and bartender Adam Chapman (Plum, Chez Papa) for an early January opening. [Tablehopper]
