February 22

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — After a change in ownership and decor refresh, the 88-year-old Alfred’s Steakhouse has reopened with wood-grilled steaks and its famous Buckaroo lunch. See the space here. [EaterWire]

DALY CITY — The owners of Original Joe’s in North Beach have reopened Joe’s of Westlake in a completely remodeled space, but with the familiar food of yore. The updated restaurant is called Original Joe’s of Westlake. [The Chron]

FILLMOREMosu, the hotly-anticipated, fine dining, tasting menu-only restaurant from The French Laundry and Benu alum chef Sung Anh, has opened. MISSIONLos Shucos has reopened after a fire closed the Guatemalan hot dog shop a year ago. The menu of heartily-topped bacon-wrapped dogs remains largely the same, and hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. [EaterWire]

NOPAKava Lounge on Divisadero has now opened, offering its relaxing brew alongside herbal tonics, kombucha and raw food snacks.  It is currently in soft opening, but once it’s fully up and running, there will be music, tastings, belly dancing and more; you can get updates here. [EaterWire]

NORTH BEACH — Chubby Noodle owner Pete Mrabe has opened Pete's, an American sports bar with a cocktail program from Duggan McDonnell. Hours are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily at 570 Green St. [Tablehopper]

BERKELEYAntoinette, the East Bay's first offering from Dominique Crenn has opened in the Claremont Club & Spa, offering French brasserie fare and an endlessly gorgeous vista of San Francisco and the Bay. See the menu here. [EaterWire]

ROCKRIDGEBelotti Ristorante E Bottega, the cozy neighborhood restaurant from Michele Belotti, is now open with handmade pastas at 5403 College Ave. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. weekdays, and until 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. NORTH BEACH — After temporarily closing in March after nearly 125 years in the neighborhood, the Original U.S. Restaurant has been reopened at 414 Columbus Ave. by general manager Alberto Cipollina and San Francisco Giants executive vice president of business operations Mario Alioto.
