Handing out candy is fun, but this Halloween why not have the candy (and food and cocktails) handed to you for a change? Here's a list of what some Bay Area bars and restaurants are doing for Halloween. We'll update it as more fun things emerge.
Creatures of the NightLife
What: Sip on cocktails at the Academy of Science's annual Halloween bash that includes a haunted house full of scientific curiosities, a hands-on squid dissection, a drag show, and costume contest. Get tickets here.

Anchor Brewing's Firkin Fridays at The Yard
What: Every Friday when the Giants are out of town, Anchor taps a firkin of a limited edition beer. But this Friday it's a very freaky Firkin Friday. Expect Halloween decorations, squash bowling, free candy, and you'd better show up in your costume ‘cause there's gonna be a contest. Grab full details here.

Cosmic Arcade Night at Brewcade

What: Put on your black light-friendly costume and get ready to glow under Brewcade's new ultraviolet light system. Florescent costumes aren't required, but if you want to win the costume contest, you might want to head in that direction. First place takes home a $300 Brewcade gift certificate. Booritos at Chipotle
What: Score a $3 "boorito" (or a bowl, salad, or taco) just by showing up to Chipotle wearing an unnecessary addition to your Halloween costume. (Get it? ‘Cause Chiptole doesn't like unnecessary additives.)

Roka Bar's Halloween Costume Party

An Evening of Espionage at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse
