This urban beer oasis is located in the heart of Hayes Valley. They've got pretzels, sausages, steins and blankets for warmth when the wind inevitably picks up.

Enjoy a view of the Bay and watch Karl the Fog creep into the city from Faction's Alameda digs. Located next to St. George's Spirits, Faction has roomy concrete patio that welcomes dogs and kids. Fill up a growler or try a flight of their brews.

Mad Oak Bar 'N' Yard

The newly opened Mad Oak Bar N Yard boasts a two-level patio area, perfect for soaking in some East Bay sunshine. The downstairs patio has lots of picnic table seating, plus a big rooftop garden with a living wall. There's also space out back for food trucks to supply hungry beer-drinkers; inside features a kitchen that will host rotating pop-ups, currently occupied by Javi's Cooking. Follow all that up with 40 beers on tap and it's pretty much a no-brainer.

Grab a pitcher of Riptide Red, snag a sunny spot in the grass and watch the afternoon disappear. This little oasis is a great place to relax after a romp on Ocean Beach or in Golden Gate Park. It's dog- and kid-friendly, too.

Perdition's huge back patio, lined with picnic tables, could give even Zeitgeist a run for its money, especially combined with the huge selection of brews (43 on tap!) BBQ, beer, and pie in the Berkeley sunshine is basically a guaranteed good time.

The Kingfish Pub & Cafe

Other than the fact that the bar was physically hoisted onto a truck and hauled across the street, not much has changed at the ol' Kingfish Pub— with the exception of a brand-new patio out back and accompanying outdoor bar.
