Oakland's Bar 355 on 19th Street in Uptown is finally getting a sister restaurant next door. According to Inside Scoop and Facebook, after two years of planning Parlour is ready to open at 357 19th Street with a "seasonal, chef-driven menu," a nice big wood-fired pizza oven and a menacing-looking rabbit logo.

Coming off a short stint at Gitane in San Francisco, chef Jason Tuley will be in charge of driving said menu, which is mostly centered around the hearth. Pizzas range from traditional to California-fresh with options like a Burrata Margherita or a foraged mushroom pie with Wagon Wheel cheese. Also getting the wood-fired treatment are roasted veggie sides like Romanesco with Botarga, and a take on Octopus with Cecchi beans, Nduja and "interesting herbs."

Parlour's wine list has also honed in on California and Italian flavors, with a few options available by the glass or the carafe. There are about a dozen craft beer options, with four of those on draft, and for those who prefer a cocktail, the bar has their own spin on a few classics.

Parlour will be open for dinner service 5 p.m. - close Tuesdays through Sundays. Brunch service is expected to follow sometime next month.
