Walking into the Charm & Chain sample sale is like stepping off tourist-infested, odorous Broadway and into the oversized walk-in closet of your most maximalist friend. The pink-coated walls are lined with photos and jewel-adorned busts, a poster that says "F*** the recession" sitting near the sale code. The discounts range from 20% to 80% off, meaning you can find anything from $5 gold stud earrings from Charm & Chain's own label to $650 embroidered Dori Csengeri ones.
Some of the better deals include Lele Sadoughi stone cuffs for $40 (originally $240), a Kendra Scott hand chain for $24 (60% off of $60), and an Eddie Borgo turquoise ring marked down from $100 to $40. Amidst a table crowded with bib necklaces and bracelets from the likes of Dannijo and Shourouk, we fell for a pair of $287 Erickson Beamon earrings, a mash-up of pearls, chains, and jewels that marries edge with elegance.
Another quiet standout is a $99 gold cocktail ring from Kelly Wearstler, which, upon a closer look, reveals a design depicting a pair of legs kicked up, a common motif in Wearstler's home decor collection. A $328 Sarah Magid multi-colored pyramid bracelet and its matching stack rings ($158) are also hard to resist, though they aren't on sale. This costume jewelry doesn't come cheap, so don't expect to come home with a handful of finds from the $5 and $10 bins. But fans of playful jewelry, especially that of Lele Sadoughi, will not be disappointed. There's plenty to go around—you've got until tomorrow.
