Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

You're not alone, Aquazurra. Sonia Rykiel is coming back to Madison Avenue, marking the brand's renewed attempts at stateside standalone stores, WWD is reporting. The first step of "a global acceleration strategy" for the company, expect the boutique to debut at the corner of 69th Street in February.

The store will stock the French brand's ready-to-wear collections, fur, leather goods, shoes, and children's wares, in addition to speciality items designed specifically for the location by Sonia Rykiel creative director Julie de Libran.

If the brand's pop-up shop in Paris is any indication of what to expect from de Libran's exclusive pieces, Madison Avenue could be in for a literary treat. She brought to life a concept shop full shelves of books, cigarettes, and red-and-pink lips. The brand also took a similar approach to its shop-in-shop in Bloomingdale's last year.

Shoppers certainly won't be lacking for any new options in high-end luxury on Madison Avenue in the new year. In addition to Aquazurra, Sonia Rykiel will join newcomers like Isabel MarantThe Row, and Moynat on the street that seems to be forever shuffling.
