Tom Hanks Harnesses the Power of Twitter to Return Fordham Student's ID

Tom Hanks, star of too many movies to list, doesn't just play happy-go-lucky good guys on screen. Turns out, the 59-year-old actor and New York City resident is just as virtuous in real life. Earlier this afternoon, Hanks tweeted a photo of a Fordham University student ID that he found while walking through the park, Page Six reports. Now, the Internet is rallying to get it back to her.

This act of goodwill comes a few months after Hanks was on the receiving end of some similarly thoughtful virtue when a stranger named Tony returned his credit card after picking it up off the street, the paper recalled. "Tony!" Hanks tweeted once the credit card was safely returned. "You make this city even greater!"

Hopefully, Hanks will be getting a similar tweet from Lauren sometime soon.
