Creatures of Comfort Is Nesting in a Temporary Location Right Now

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Creatures of Comfort is getting a facelift. For two weeks, the eclectic flagship store at 205 Mulberry Street is closed due to "building works," according to an email from the indie boutique. But don't despair—you can still shop brands like Apiece Apart and Rachel Comey at the store's pop-up just a minute walk from the flagship store at 199 Lafayette Street.

The temporary location opened today at noon and neighbors men's boutique Odin New York. Over its expected two-week run, expect to find a good selection of discounted items during its end-of-season sale—though we don't know its exact details at the moment, expect slightly higher prices (and fewer customers, luckily) than this year's crowded sample sale.
