We popped back into 151 Wooster Street yesterday afternoon to check out what's left at the 3.1 Phillip Lim sample sale now that those opening day lines have died down. And without the crowds indicating where the hot items were, we almost missed the corner shelves housing what was left of the bags. Amazingly, there were still five Pashlis: A large one in black patent leather, two medium versions (one coral, one sky blue), a mini in a cognac patent leather, and one oddly translucent large edition.
There was an entire table of 31 Hour clutches in various colors and finishes, emblazoned with either "OMG" and "$." We didn't see any 31 Hour bags, but the sales associate we spoke with said that they would be restocking for Thursday. He wasn't sure what styles would be added to the floor, but had been told there was stock to put out. Only bags will be added, by the way, not clothing.
But that's okay, since there's definitely still a lot of apparel to choose from — if you are a size 00 through 2, that is. No matter what we pulled off of the racks yesterday afternoon, it was in a small size. When specifically looking for larger sizes, we only noticed a few 4s and 6s mixed in. We spied a few standout pieces: Leather skirts, animal-print leather tops, blue metallic dresses, fur-trimmed skirts, the 'Cash Only' tee shirt all of the bloggers were wearing last season, a dress seemingly made of wood beads, and leather pants. And sequins were on everything, from sweaters to drawstring pants to LBDs.
Women looking to score a pair of $100 shoes will have just one table, mostly full of sneakers and boots, to choose from. There were just two pairs of flats and two pairs of wedges
Men, meanwhile, will be able to shop a selection of colorful metallic jackets, plus boots and white lace-up shoes. There were still a lot of blazers, including styles with denim sleeves, windowpane print, and denim paisley.
A strict no-photo policy is enforced at this sale, but we've got approximations of some of what's left in the gallery above. If you had your heart set on a Pashli or 31 Hour clutch, we'd suggest a trip to this sale as soon as possible — hopefully you'll catch the restock when the doors open at 10am.
