Holiday Market Updates: Grand Central Giving Away TVs, Garment District Location Added

It's a crucial time of year for shopping in New York City, and not just because of the abundance of sample sales. Also making their seasonal returns are the major holiday markets — that's Columbus Circle, Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park (whose winter village opened on October 30th), and Union Square. Each destination is always worth at least one visit per season, and this year there's a couple of important changes to note:

Grand Central Terminal's annual holiday fair opens today with its expected seasonally-appropriate mix of art, food, toys, home goods, clothing, handbags, jewelry and accessories to gift. And this time, there's something special for you as well — the chance to win an LG Oled TV each and every single day through its Christmas Eve run. Stop by Vanderbilt Hall on Mondays through Fridays from 10am to 8pm, Saturdays from 10am to 7pm, and Sundays from 11am to 7pm to enter for the daily giveaway.

Secondly, Urbanspace — the organizers behind the Union Square and Columbus Circle markets — is introducing a third, smaller market in the Garment District today, located along Broadway between 39th and 41st Streets. You'll find a mix of artistic and yummy vendors like Pop Chart Lab, Kubiya Games, Lazy Jack Sinners, and Stella Artois (they're setting up a beer-tasting trailer). Visit the new Garment District holiday market today through December 24th (closed on Thanksgiving), weekdays from 11am to 8pm, Saturdays from 10am to 8pm, and Sundays from 11am to 7pm.

Next to open is the Union Square market on November 19th, which will also mark the debut of Urbanspace Provisions — a section of the market dedicated to locally-made home goods and pantry items. Plus, shoppers will be able to enjoy more dining options, art-making stations for the kids, and performance stages. This market is also running until December 24th and closed on Thanksgiving, with hours going just about the same: weekdays from 11am to 8pm, Saturdays from 11am to 8pm, and Sundays from 11am to 7pm.

Finally, the Columbus Circle holiday market opens on December 1st with food, affordable craft goods, plus vendors like New York Puzzle Company, Hill Country BBQ, Retro NY Metro, and more. The market is open from 10am to 8pm on Mondays through Saturdays and 10am to 7pm on Sundays until December 24th.
