When bowtie connoisseur Alexander Olch was spotted lurking around an empty warehouse on lower Ludlow Street, rumor had it that the designer was scoping out a location for another boutique to join the existing one on Orchard Street. But according to Bowery Boogie, it won't be a store at all—Olch is transforming the space into a movie theater.

Once he's done with the 5,400-square-foot space, it'll be a multi-level art house cinema called "Metrograph" to showcase indie films and "maintain what's left of the vibrancy of the neighborhood." No word on when we can expect an opening night, but work on the project reportedly began about three months ago.
