Dueling corners of Bowery and Bond street are gearing up for their fashionable new tenants. First up is Kenneth Cole at 328 Bowery, which we learned about a few months back, million-dollar rent and all: WWD reports that it's scheduled to open on September 15th and will integrate neighborhood initiatives like shoe drives and exhibits of local artwork.

And even though it'll be smaller than most of its other stores at 2,500 square feet, the store will be well-equipped with tech features like iPads and touch tables for shoppers to access the entire selection of merchandise with the assistance of sales associates. "It's going to be a very curated shop," CEO Mark Schneider told the paper. "Some of the older stores were 5,000 to 6,000 square feet."

This location is also serving as a model for future retail locations across the country. "If Bowery and Bond goes as anticipated, we'll open more," he added.

Later on, John Barrett's second New York City salon will (finally) open across the street at 330 Bowery this fall—EV Grieve noted that scaffolding recently came down at the building that formerly housed Rogan. Though a date hasn't been specified, the website of the high-end, Hillary Clinton-frequented salon says it's opening in the fall, complete with fancy details like a VIP entrance.

It's one of several new locations Barrett has in the pipeline, from the shopping center at the World Trade Center to a midtown six-story townhouse that has a ballroom and a history with Liz Taylor
