We popped by the Cosabella sample sale after work yesterday evening to see how the selection of lingerie, loungewear, and swimwear has fared after two days of shoppers and whether it's worth heading over in its final hours today. In a word: Definitely. There's plenty of classic and lacy styles across all sizes to choose from, and since this sale doesn't have a history of further markdowns, you might as well stop in while the selection's as big as it is, especially for swimwear.
Those familiar with this semi-annual sale will recognize its price list: $13 for bikini briefs, thongs, and G-strings; hot pants for $15; babydoll nightgowns and soft bras for $30; and underwire bras for $35. Robes and cardigans were originally listed as $50, but that's been crossed out and replaced with $35. Check out the gallery above to see the full price list for apparel.
For bras and panties—this sale's bread and butter—shoppers will be happy to see plenty of different styles well-organized by size on the rack (merchandise in the bins on the floor, however, is a different story). Though you'll be hard-pressed to find basic nudes and blacks, pops-of-color aficionados will be thrilled sifting through the sea of magenta, orange, and teal.
Don't overlook the full bins of swimwear sitting on the table in the center of the sale space (it's the store's back room, past a wall of celeb-signed undies), with two bins for bikini pieces ($25) and another for one-pieces ($50). Unfortunately the bikini sizes are all mixed and you might need to be an archaeologist to unearth a matching set, but the high-quality construction, splashy prints, and good prices are worth the dig.
There's also a last-call bin next to the bathing suits, with apparel priced at $5. Most of what's in there is a perfectly fine sheer black babydoll in a couple of sizes, with pieces like hot pants mixed in. What little is left in the bin is in stark contrast to the amount of apparel elsewhere in this sale—no shortage of soft, comfy, binge-watching-worthy pieces to scoop up here.
Try-ons are allowed on the sales floor, but not in the store's regular dressing room; sales staff keeps the back door partially closed to ensure privacy. We're not sure whether this sale will have been restocked when the doors open at 11am, but unless there was a ransack in yesterday's final hour, there's more than enough to sift through. Stop by the flagship store at 220 Lafayette Street before 7pm to check it out for yourself.
