Update: As of Thursday afternoon, all prices have been reduced by an additional 30 percent. Original discounts are reflected below.

Dutch brand Scotch & Soda's sample sale is happening this week at 260 Fifth, where you'll find plenty of one-off samples and overstock for both men and women at up to 70% off.

We checked out the preview yesterday, and it was very quiet (as expected). No doubt most people were out celebrating the long weekend instead of shopping, which is good news for those who plan to hit up the sale today—more stock for you!

If you're a fan of the brand, the sale is a good one. Prices start at $10 for jewelry and women's cotton tanks and go up to $150 for leather pieces. Samples and overstock are priced the same.

Most of the women's tops fall under the 'woven' category, and are priced at $35, while cotton tees are $20. We picked up two sample pieces that are easy to pair with skinny jeans: A gray embossed graphic tee for $20 and a heather tank top with shoulder embellishments for $35.

Near the back, there are ten bins full of women's pants organized by size (24 through 33). Most are jeans, but some bins contain printed trousers.

Women's accessories are near the cashiers. Here you'll find jewelry for $10, including beaded bracelets, charm necklaces and turquoise stone earrings. These pieces usually retail for between $25 and $39. Beside the jewelry are two trays of leather and canvas belts for $20, as well as leather envelope clutches and large sequined totes all on sale for $40. At the end of the table, you'll find leather gloves and suede mittens (originally $95+) for $30.

Other accessories include lightweight printed scarves for $20 (originally $49 to $69) and women's hats for $40. Compared to past sales, the accessories section seems to be smaller.

In the men's department, there are a couple of racks of swim shorts for $30, a large selection of $50 jeans, lots of graphic tees ($20), and colorful woven shirts ($45).

Men's accessories are cheaper than women's. All scarves, belts, hats, and gloves are $18. Most of the men's accessories are in bins by the stairs and on a rack in front of the women's dressing room.

Even though temperatures are in the 80's, the fall/winter section is worth checking out. We found racks of parkas, knitwear, and wool hats for both men and women. Some standouts: a navy silk blend floral sweater for $45, and some dressy lace-embellished wool coats for $60.

Lastly, there's a only a handful of childrenswear, and all pieces are $25.
