What's Left on the Second Day of James Perse's Second Sample Sale

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We stopped by the James Perse sample sale at 151 Wooster Street this afternoon to check in on how the stock is faring since yesterday, and we're happy to report that there is still more than enough to go around. Men's and women's clothes and shoes have been restocked and then some—perhaps the abundance of merchandise will translate to markdowns later this week?

Women's clothes are all priced same as before: tops and bottoms are both $30 to $60, jackets are $90, and collection knits and jackets are $120. We saw plenty of maxi dresses for $60 (were $165), a great gray jacket for $90 (was $295), and corduroy pants for $60 (were $225). Among the tops, we liked a white sweater for $50 that's also available in basically every color, a coral red shirt for $60, a woven short sleeve top for $45 (was $165), and a blue muscle tank for just $20 (was $105).

In the men's section, the favorites are still the tees ($30) and polos ($50), while bigger jackets ($90) and vests and coats ($120) have been less picked over—likely because it's 80 degrees outside, and who want to imagine the cold ever again at this point? There are still plenty of long sleeve tees ($40) and lounge pants ($30) around as well. From the activewear line Yosemite, there's an array of sweat hoodies ($50) and tees as well.

For men's shoes, SeaVees ($50) are still all over the racks in sizes 8 through 12. Danner boots are equally stocked as they were yesterday, still going for $160. Most women's shoes are a 7 or 8, with mostly sandal styles left over. We also saw a box of panties stuck in this mix, each going for $15. The black blankets are still around, going for $400, as are the $80 totes. Still no sign of hats, sheets, or sports bras anywhere, though.

Sizes are still the full range of 0 to 5, or XS to XL. Sneak out of the office if you can to shop this sale, since there is barely a crowd to compete with in the early afternoon. Check out the hours in the Dealfeed below.
