The J. Crew Sample Sale Starts in Two Weeks, Sans Madewell (Updated)

There are things that we come to expect of June: Warmer days. Fireflies. Fresh Orange Is the New Black episodes. And for New York shoppers, we could also add the J. Crew sample sale to that list. Mizhattan reports that it'll be back beginning June 23rd, with discounts of up to 60% off on women's and kids' Crewcuts overstock apparel returning to 260 Fifth Avenue.

However, two major distinctions from previous sales: First, the men's merchandise won't be down the block, but at 260 Sample Sale's new men's venue at 129 Prince Street (next to COS, where the Boglioli Milano sample sale is about to begin). And second, there's no indication that Madewell items will be available—could it possibly be having its own sale in the future?

Or maybe there's just not enough merchandise from that label worth warranting a shout-out on the invitation—we'll just have to wait and see.
