149 Reade Street, former home to lingerie store Petticoat Lane, will be opening its doors at the end of this summer as a Papyrus—the stationery chain known for its elaborate birthday cards, planners, and wrapping paper. This is the company's 19th New York City lease, Commercial Observer reports.

Although there are already Papyrus outposts in the Woolworth building and on Spring Street...and on Broadway, the new Tribeca location hopes to bring in more traffic. The lease is for ten years, so it looks like the soon-to-be shop is here to stay.
