Haute Hippie Has Closed Both Its NYC Stores

Nearly four years later, Haute Hippie on Prince Street appears to have closed: Bowery Boogie notes that it's currently covered up in brown butcher paper, its shelves completely bare.

When it opened back in January 2012, the NYC-based label promised to bring its boho-inspired (albeit rather pricey) slouchy dresses, maxi skirts, and billowy blouses to Nolita. The location also isn't the first Haute Hippie store to have closed — there were at one point locations in Aspen and Tokyo, neither of which are currently listed on the website's store locator.

While the Nolita, Madison Avenue, East Hampton, and West Hollywood outposts remain on the website, the blog reports that calls to the other stores have gone unanswered — we'll keep you posted on the fate of the rest.

Update: A tipster reports that the Madison Avenue store appears to be closed as well.
