Owen's Farewell Sale Has Up To 80% Off 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne Studios

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Say your goodbyes (for now) to fashion-favorite boutique Owen. Owner Phillip Salem is packing up his Meatpacking District shop, but not without a storewide sale where everything, including his house line, is up to 80% off.

We stopped by earlier today to get the details on the closing and ran into Salem himself. Reflecting on Owen's time on Washington Street, he told us that he feels as though he "can't harp about the closing because maybe it's helping the store move on to bigger and better things." As for those brown paper bags decorating Owen? He's having a piece of the installation removed to hang in his apartment as a memento, and shoppers are also welcome to grab a bag for themselves on Owen's last day, July 31st.

Now, on to the sale, where discounts are designated by location. Racks located on the right side of the store, plus two racks in the back, have apparel for 80% off. Here, you'll find a pair of Iro Wafre shorts ($90, originally $450), a 3.1 Phillip Lim cut-off tank ($119, originally $595), a Cushnie et Ochs rayon viscose knit crop top ($77, originally $385), and a David Koma cropped sleeveless embroidered top ($519, originally $2,595). Pay close attention to Owen's house line bags: These are also discounted 80% off.

Meanwhile, all racks located on the left are 40% off. You'll see a Zimmerman silk plunge short dress ($252, originally $420), an ALC Harvey top ($210, originally $350), a Cushnie et Ochs cropped viscose tee ($537, originally $895), a Tanya Taylor Ritasweater ($237, originally $395), a Jonathan Simkhai crop cutout button down ($177, originally $295), and a Cushnie et Ochs power stretch sheer dress ($897, originally $1,495).

Keep a lookout for stacks of Acne Studios jeans near the front, discounted at 40% off and generally available between sizes 24 and 30. If you can't make it to Washington Street, shop select styles online with an even higher discount, including the Skin 5 in "blue bullet" ($84, originally $280) and the Pin Free LT Vint jeans ($81, originally $270).

Check out some of our favorite pieces above, and stay tuned for Owen's reappearance, which Salem hopes will happen early next year. Until then, get your Owen fix this upcoming September during NYFW at The Standard, where Salem will debut his latest collection of bags.
