Ballerinas and fans of luxurious Parisian clothing and shoes will be elated by the new Repetto boutique, opening today in Soho. The brand's first US store is absolutely beautiful, from the Baccarat crystal chandelier in the entryway to the rich red velvet fitting room curtains. And then, of course, there's the shoes.

Situated on West Broadway next to its French relatives Bonpoint and Ladurée, the shop marks the first time that American fans will have access to the entire Repetto line — that's the full shoe and handbag range and both the ready-to-wear and activewear collections for women. And on top of the extensive footwear selection, which includes the new Detroit collection (think super-high heels and ostrich feathers) as well as a multitude of other non-ballet styles, there's an exclusive ballet flat (below, $340) designed in honor of the new store.

Naturally, the shop is a destination for ballet enthusiasts (or those that want to just dress like them), with a back wall that's filled with ballet slippers in every size. You'll also find Repetto's complete dancewear collection for both women and girls, chock full of tutus in assorted colors, leotards, ballet bags, and more. Be sure to check out the signature Repetto perfume, too, which smells like pear and cherry blossom.

Towards the back of the shop is where you will find L'Atelier Repetto, where both men and women can customize a pair of shoes. Shoppers can choose from a variety of different silhouettes, colors, laces, and charms to create a personalized pair of Repetto shoes.

Even if you're not the ballet-flat type, this store is worth a visit just to appreciate its gorgeous French detailing. It feels like you're in a grand Parisian apartment, and we were honestly in no rush to leave during our visit. And Soho won't have the exclusive on this for long: Repetto has plans to establish other locations both within the city and throughout the country.
