Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Want to turn your Konmari purge into new clothes? Sure, it's kind of against the point of the whole "tidying" movement, but it's still pretty tempting. Material Wrld, the website that lets you trade in your once-loved designer goods for gift cards to places like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, and Steven Alan, is now working with Intermix, too—and it's kicking off the alliance with in-person trade-ins at the Upper West Side location through Saturday.

Here's how it works: Bring in the items that you're ready to part with (from their list of approved brands) to have them evaluated for their value within 15 minutes—depending on style and wear-and-tear, you could get up to $60 for a DVF wrap dress and up to $150 for a good pair of Louboutins. You'll get that value back in the form of an Intermix gift card, and have the option to have Material Wrld donate what they don't accept to a charitable organization.

Not ready to part with anything just yet? They'll be back IRL at Intermix's Upper East Side location in October—exact date to be determined.
