Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Wooster Street is going through a bit of a retail makeover right now. The beginning of this year saw two major players—Barneys and Piperlime, right across the street from each other—shut their doors for good, but their replacements are already well underway. We've known for awhile that fellow Gap brand Athleta would be taking over the Piperlime space at 121 Wooster Street, and its signage indicates that it'll open next month. And now, we know of Barneys' successor: Ray Ban.

Its new home at 116 Wooster Street is still heavily under construction, and we don't know of an opening date. They don't have a New York City store right now, but you can find Ray Bans at some of the city's best sunglasses shops in the meantime.

Meanwhile, just down the block, we're waiting to hear who will replace Band of Outsiders.
