Nothing Is Over $25 at the Vince Camuto and Cynthia Steffe Sample Sale

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Cynthia Steffe and Vince Camuto sample sale is for neither the lighthearted nor the impatient. With so much clothing to sort through (most of which is lying in piles on the floor) it's easy to be discouraged and leave. However, with prices starting at just $10 and capping out at $25, you should carve out an hour (or three) to scope out this Garment District sale.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the sale's organization, but you'll find a great assortment of tops—including billowy blouses and oversized sweaters—tailored blazers, faux fur vests, and shift dresses (sorry, no shoes).

When it comes to bottoms, the range of options is small and the sizes are limited—mostly 2s and 4s. Still, we did find some gems hiding among the racks, including several 70s-inspired A-line suede skirts. If you're looking for pants, try asking the staffers for help: Simply give them your size and a selection of colors you're looking for, and they'll happily search for some options in the back.

True samples, mostly from fall 2014, are also scattered throughout the racks, without any visibly noticeable defects or damages.

Fitting rooms aren't available, however, so you're relegated to shrouding in a corner if you want to try anything on (don't worry, you won't be the only one doing it). And though the majority of the items are Vince Camuto and Cynthia Steffe garments, we also saw items from Zara, Topshop, Zadig & Voltaire, J. Crew, 1State, and Chaus New York among the mix.

The sale ends on June 12th at 3pm so take advantage throughout the next five days—see the hours in the Dealfeed below.
