Couples Treat Dumbo Like One Giant Wedding Photo Backdrop

In the winter months, Dumbo is just a regular Brooklyn neighborhood. But now that we're steadfastly entering Wedding Season, it's officially returned to its natural state as a backdrop for thousands upon thousands of engagement photos.

To be fair, it really is the one neighborhood in New York City with all the quintessential wedding photo staples—water, the skyline, out-of-use train tracks, a cutesy carousel, graffiti to make the bride and groom feel hip and edgy, and New Yorkers' most agreed-upon real estate amenity: tons and tons of exposed brick. From now until October, good luck finding a picnic spot that's not already overrun with organza.
