If you're planning on stopping by the Aeffe Showroo sample sale at 30 West 56th Street this week, you're in for a treat. The showroom is stocked with one-of-a-kind and current-season pieces — we even spotted a few items from runway collections —from Alberta Ferretti, Emanuel Ungaro, Philosophy di Lorenzo, Serafini, Fuzzi, Cedric Charlier, and Moschino. But, like, tons, of Moschino. Everything is priced as marked, plus an additional 20% off.
Once you've checked your coat and bag, you'll find the majority of the left side of the room is dedicated to Moschino. There are rolling racks full of Love Moschino, Boutique Moschino, Moschino Couture, and Moschino. We specifically asked if there were any pieces for sale designed prior to Jeremy Scott taking the helm as creative director, and the sales associate that we spoke with said there were a few pieces — but not many. That was evident in a sea of bright puffers ($400), quilted skirts ($112), multi-colored fur coats ($259), chain-link crop tops ($284), and dresses ($383). In the back of the showroom, you'll find merchandise with even deeper discounts. There are shoes from the McDonalds-inspired collection for $208, Teddy Bear pumps for $227, Love Moschino Mary Janes for $92, handbags starting at $80, and iPhone cases for $10. If you have an iPhone 5, you're in luck: You'll have your choice of the mirror or teddy bear cases in pink or brown.
Beside all the Moschino, you'll find what appears to be Barneys' overstock of Cedric Charlier — there are garments still on the department store's hangers with the department store's tags. We saw chunky knit sweaters for $306, leather dresses for $220, and maxi skirts for $180. Standout Emanuel Ungaro pieces include brocade dresses for $864, printed pants for $247, leather shorts for $320, and a cashmere coat with a rabbit collar for $2,065.
As for sizing, most of the Moschino pieces we saw were a 2 or 4, but Cedric Charlier and Emanuel Ungaro had the most variety. There is an overwhelming amount of merchandise available but you'll have to decide for yourself whether the sale price is good enough. Check out the Dealfeed below to see when you can shop.
