Isaac Mizrahi Fronts the Jewish Museum's First Major Fashion Exhibit

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has China, and the Museum at FIT has the rest of the world. The Brooklyn Museum had heels, and will soon have sneakers. And next year, the Jewish Museum will have Isaac Mizrahi. WWD reports that the Fifth Avenue museum will host a retrospective of the designer's career that will focus mainly on his fashions (from his signature label that began in 1987 to that Target line) but also clips from "Unzipped" and "Project Runway."

It's not the museum's first dive into the fashion world—In 2013, they hosted an installation from the New York-based fashion collective ThreeASFOUR—but name recognition guarantees a different type of crowd than the museum is used to. Look for more details on "Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History" in the coming months—we've got nine whole months until its debut in March 2016.
