We stopped by the Nicholas K sample sale earlier this morning to meet with designer Christopher Kunz — who co-founded the company with his sister, Nicholas — before the doors opened to the public at 10am. Be advised, prices aren't the cheapest, but you will have the opportunity to shop overstock fall 2015 pieces that are still full price on the brand's website, as well as items from this season's runway show, vintage pieces, and one-of-a-kind samples.
The women's clothing and accessories are along the left side of the space. Everything is arranged by color, with corresponding photos of the garments on models above the racks and price lists in between. Women's sizes run from extra small through large. There is a good amount of in-season merchandise: Overstock leather jackets are $425, winter coats are $350, jackets are $250, and heavy sweaters are $199. If it's a sample, then leather jackets are $275, winter coats are $250, jackets are $175, and sweaters are $150. Sample shoes (some look a little more worn than others) are all $25. Vintage pieces like coats and evening dresses are $90.
The are two tables of sweaters between the men's and women's items that are priced between $199 and $275. On the right side, the men's merchandise includes leather jackets for $425, winter coats for $350, and jackets for $250. Basic and Serius t-shirts are $60 and $90, respectively.
There aren't any dressing rooms, though there is a large mirror for you to try on items over your clothing. Clothing will be restocked throughout the sale, which runs through December 14th; check out the Dealfeed below for more info.
