Red Hook Finally Has Itself a Bookstore

If you do a Google search for "Red Hook bookstore" you will promptly be redirected to the bookstore-replete neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens and Park Slope (that is, unless you count the novel-esque assembly instructions at Ikea)—but no more! This weekend, arts hub Pioneer Works opened its very own bookstore in the former home of a bodega.

Pioneer Books, just two blocks away from the organization's large event space, sells a variety of art-related reads, according to Brownstoner, including "arts journals" and vintage titles.
