Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In case looking at pictures of cats isn't enough feline fun, you can bring home a real kitty from Urban Outfitters tomorrow. The store is teaming up with the non-profit Best Friends Animal Society to offer free cat and kitten adoptions to customers for National Cat Day. At eight different Urban Outfitters locations around New York and Brooklyn—see the locations here—cats that are microchipped and up-to-date with vaccinations will be offered up gratis to (responsible) shoppers.

In addition to the kitties actually being in the stores, customers will receive an additional 30% off sale items with a $5 donation and a free tee-shirt for giving more than $25.
