Magnolia Bakery Is Opening in Penn Station Despite 'Level of Misery'

The one thing that could maybe help you forget that you're in the literal worst place in NYC? Butter and sugar. The Post reports that Magnolia Bakery will open a Penn Station store this September, despite its current "level of misery."

"Obviously, the context isn't as nice as Grand Central," Magnolia's CEO Steve Abrams told the paper, adding, "Even in its level of misery over there, we'll be able to serve our customer base."

The new store will replace Manhattan's only Cinnabon, which recently closed, much to our despair. It's expected to be the bakery chain's second most profitable location after Rockefeller Center, the obvious reason being that only stuffing a tower of sugar into your mouth can counteract the human suffering of being in Penn Station.
