Just as Empire fans got their due from the department store, soon Sex and the City devotees will, too: Saks Fifth Avenue revealed today that it will soon house one of the world's largest Manolo Blahnik boutiques, located on the eighth floor shoe section. Along with the 760-square-foot shop-in-shop, which has been designed to emulate "a sophisticated woman's boudoir," complete with an antique chandelier and "quirky custom furniture," it'll also celebrate the opening with window displays, exclusive shoe styles, and a slew of events.

In a rare appearance, Manolo Blahnik himself will even attend one of the opening events next month. The designer, who we're delighted to discover uses words like "terribly exciting" and "splendid," stated, "It's terribly exciting to finally be landing at Saks in New York City. It has always been one of my favourite specialty stores, and I cannot wait to see the new space which I am sure will be splendid." Splendid!
