The Five Designer Shoe Sample Sales in NYC You Need to Know About This Week (Updated)

Did someone say shoes? That's the item that stuck out to us the most in this week's (yet again) crowded sample sale schedule, so let's break down the details of the four five important names you should be paying attention to — plus all the other good clothing sales not to miss, either.

Sergio Rossi

The Italian brand is headed to Metropolitan Pavilion to offer 80% off retail prices on its signature footwear, plus a selection of handbags. Its last sample sale in the city only opened to the public midway through, so at least we have advance notice this time. There, heels started at $116.70 while booties were north of $650, but things got a little cheaper as the week went on.

L.K. Bennett

The Kate Middleton-favored label is opening up its showroom for sample sale appointments (email caroline.cozier@lkbennett.com to snag yours) this week to sell off its shoe — and clothing, and handbag — inventory for up to 70% off retail prices. Back in March 2014, shoes ranged from a very modest $60 for flats and $150 for boots.

For those of you who like your footwear to have a little character but not such a huge price tag, this is the sample sale for you. See for yourself what you can expect to find, and expect the scene to be very crowded when the doors first open.

This Vogue editor's footwear line certainly make statements, but they're a bit less cartoonish than Olympia's. Last year, most of the gorgeous heels we found ranged from $195 to $225, and editors were making their way to the registers with stacks of boxes they couldn't see over them.

SJP Collection

Sarah Jessica Parker's first-ever sample sale was just announced for this Friday, November 20th. Given that it's never happened before, we're not quite sure what to expect — like, will the actress make an appearance? Just be sure to hit up an ATM prior to stopping by, because it's cash-only.
