The City's Top Sneakerheads to Launch New Store and 'Intake Center' in Soho

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Rare sneakers are getting not one, but two proper Soho outposts courtesy of Stadium Goods, a new online platform backed a former owner of Flight Club as well as the founder of Sneaker News. On deck for this Friday is the debut of the company's 3,000-square foot retail store at 47 Howard Street (pictured above), which complements its market center located right around the corner at 305 Canal Street. The latter is a dedicated spot for sellers to bring in their new, unworn goods to list online and/or consign in the retail store.

Expect to find super-limited editions pieces from the likes of Nike, Adidas, Converse, and Supreme on any given day, like the $24,500 Air Jordan IV Undefeated (only 72 pairs were ever made, and not actually sold — only gifted to friends and family). You can also expect to find streamlined customer service, including options to order online and pick up in-store and concierge service for VIP customers.
