We're only a week into fall, but Mackage knows that the time for heavy jackets isn't far away. That's why the champions of fur-lined hoods are set to open an Upper East Side pop-up shop this Thursday, October 1st Saturday, October 3rd, making this its second store in New York City (there's a Soho flagship on Mercer Street).

Located at 1122 Madison Avenue, the brand will be replacing Halston Heritage, the lower-point spinoff of the Halston Collection once helmed by Sarah Jessica Parker. Its immediate fashion neighbors include James Perse two doors down and Lululemon and Madewell one black away

No word yet on the duration of Mackage's pop-up shop, but now is the time to mark your calendars—just make sure to visit Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm or Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Update: After this article was published, Mackage changed its opening date to Saturday, October 3rd. A WWD article states that its current run is set for six months, but according to Mackage co-founder Elisa Dahan,  "it could turn into a permanent store." The only thing that might keep it from making that conversion is high rents in the area. "When we got the prices of Madison [Avenue] real estate, they were almost unrealistic. That's the reason a lot of stores are closing — they can't afford to renew their leases. We want to see how we adapt to a market that has an expensive rent. Before getting married to the area we want to date it a little bit."
