Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

This just in: People are really, really jazzed about the Ferragamo sample sale. When we arrived around 11am, the line was only around 30 people strong — but upon leaving 45 minutes later, it had extended nearly all the way to Cortlandt Street, more than a block away from the entrance.

Stay tuned for details on the actual sale, but spoiler alert: there's a $10,000 skirt available for just $179. Get excited accordingly.
