Gap and Big Gay Ice Cream Partner for Pride Week

Gap is showing its colors for Pride Week by partnering with the locally beloved Big Gay Ice Cream. Today marks the debut of their collaboration's pop-up shop in Gap's concept space on midtown's Fifth Avenue (next to the flagship), and the small space was decorated to look happy and youthful—think bright rainbow walls several jars of rainbow sprinkles on shelves, and at least 20 different unicorn piñatas displayed throughout the store.

They'll be selling a small variety of ice cream flavors in the store alongside men's, women's, and kids' tees that are exclusive to the shop—you can pick up a pre-printed one or customize your own with one of six designs (our personal favorite was a sassy unicorn throwing serious shade while enjoying a rainbow ice cream cone).

The store is also selling autographed copies of Big Gay Ice Cream: Saucy Stories & Frozen Treats: Going All the Way with Ice Cream by BGIC cofounders Bryan Petroff and Douglas Quint. And during the first three weekends of its run, anyone who buys a book or a t-shirt will get a free ice cream sandwich—plus, if you wear one of the shirts from here to either of BGIC's downtown locations, you'll get half-off your dessert. The pop-up shop is open daily through July 26th.
