We still have another three years (at least) before Nordstrom makes its long-awaited debut in midtown, but there's a chance that we could be shopping its offshoot nearby much sooner. The New York Post reports that Nordstrom Rack might take the 40,000-square foot space on the first three floors of 3 Columbus Circle, just a block away from where the department store will open.

Previously home to Daffy's, that address is now occupied by a Bank of America. If the Rack does land here — making this its sixth shop in the city — it would compete with the TJ Maxx directly across and would mark the Rack's sixth shop in the city.

Neither Nordstrom nor the real estate firm that manages the building would comment to the paper, which says that the off-price store has also been looking at 112 West 34th Street, where Foot Locker and Sephora currently reside.
